3. Ingredients

Ingredient Amount
Oats 50g
Milk Powder 1 1/2 tbsp
Dehydrated Banana Slices 10
Chia Seeds (optional) 1/2 tbsp
Peanut butter powder (optional) 1 tbsp

4. Method

Add all of the ingredients together in a ziploc bag, we tend to do this in large batches as it reduces the overall time taken per portion.

5. Preparing on trail

Add the contents of the bag to the vessel you plan to eat from (make sure it can be sealed). Add 150 - 200 ml of water (depends on your preferred consistency) and mix. Leave to rest for at least an hour but preferably overnight.

6. Mix it up

There are lots of ways to build on this for a more exciting breakfast some of our favorites are: - Chocolate - Strawberry - Apple

Feel free to add a suggestion of your favorite overnight oats flavor.

7. Fast and light tips

When going on longer trips or where we can't wash up we tend to eat directly from the bag. If you do this make sure to use sturdy bags, we use Ikea 400ml ones.

We often like to eat breakfast after doing an hour or so hiking, it helps to break up the mornings and means we are faster out of camp. Often we wait until we get the first direct sunlight in the mountains.
